(NASDAQ:COIN) may soon have more AI employees than humans, CEO Brian Armstrong says. "Soon, it will be easy for any employee to spin up a new agent for themselves or their team," Armstrong said on April 18 on X, announcing that Coinbase is testing AI agents in work communication channels. "I suspect we will have more agents than human employees at some point soon."

The agent modeled after Ehrsam is framed as a "strategic executive agent" that employees can reach out to discuss the company’s strategy, refine documents and concepts and get overall expert guidance. Meanwhile, the Srinivasan agent is described as the "agent of chaos & creativity," designed to guide employees who seek to think outside the box and explore long-term visions.
